Who doesn’t love a nice, hot, relaxing bath? It’s one of my favorite things!
And nothing makes a bath better than some delicious smelling and skin softening bath salts, especially when they are made with the health nourishing & magnesium rich Epsom salt.
Commercial bath salts are often full of toxic ingredients and short on quality. They are quite expensive for what you get as well. So why not make your own, customized to your liking and save time, money and get something non-toxic to boot? These are perfect gifts as well!
Easy DIY Bath Salts
by Amy Love, Real Food Whole Health
1/2 cup Epsom salt
1/4 cup Himalayan or coarse sea salt
1 1/2 TBL baking soda
1 TBL nourishing oil (jojoba, avocado, walnut, olive, coconut, etc)
15-20 drops of an essential oil blend, or 5-10 drops of 3-4 oils of your choosing
Simply combine all ingredients and scoop into a pretty jar.
For an easy gift, include a bamboo scoop and top your jar with a cute label. You can even put together a gift basket with various homemade beauty products & relaxing accompaniments like candles or herbal tea!
Get creative! Come up with different oil/essential oil blends. You can even add in herbs or flower petals…I love lavender buds in my bath salts.
